Mindfulness is the attention paid to the present moment—thoughts, emotions, sensations, and environment—consciously and without judgment.
Meditation improves attention, memory, and slows down brain aging. According to Harvard, it increases gray matter related to concentration and offers:

- Mood regulation, combating depression
- Enhancement of cognitive abilities

- Development of compassion towards oneself and others
