Public Speaking

Training: Become a Confident and Charismatic Speaker with the Catherine Gillet Method

Speaking with Ease

There aren't a thousand ways to speak in public, but two: Imitating by pretending, which remains superficial and lacks sincerity. Truly living your speech, investing your energy, emotions, and personality into it.

The Catherine Gillet method favors the latter, enabling you to connect with yourself and your audience, overcome your fears, and discover the joy of communication.

Whether during a job interview, an important meeting, or a public presentation, the ability to express oneself in front of an audience has become essential in professional and personal life. However, for many, speaking in front of others can evoke a multitude of emotions: stage fright, lack of confidence, a feeling of vulnerability. The good news? There is a method accessible to everyone to transform public speaking into a positive, enriching, and even enjoyable experience.

The Catherine Gillet Method: 30 Years of Experience at the Service of Your Voice

With over thirty years of experience on stage and in actor training, Catherine Gillet has designed an exclusive method combining classical acting and professional one-man show techniques, the tools of synergology (the interpretation of body language), mindfulness for managing stage fright and emotions, and benevolent communication for quick wit.

This innovative approach does not offer "miracle solutions"; it invites you to fully experience your presentations, to embody your speech to connect with your audience and leave an authentic, positive, and lasting impression.

Skills to Acquire to Become an Accomplished Speaker

Becoming a good speaker is, above all, about enjoying communication, conveying a clear and convincing message, and developing a presence that inspires confidence. To achieve this, several aspects need to be addressed:

  • Diction and Articulation: Well-pronounced words and a calm, warm voice facilitate audience comprehension and engagement.
  • Breathing and Breath Management: Controlled breathing helps channel stage fright and strengthen the voice.
  • Non-verbal Communication: Gestures, posture, gaze... The body speaks as much as words and helps convey your intentions.
  • Expression and Rhythm: Knowing how to modulate one's speech, vary tone and rhythm to maintain interest and dynamism.
  • Conviction and Adaptability: Believing in one's message, adapting to one's audience and situation to remain relevant and powerful.

Self-Confidence, the Driving Force of Communication

Cultivating self-confidence is an exciting personal development journey. Our training helps you to:

  • Understand and accept the emotions that arise during public speaking
  • Manage stage fright constructively through mindfulness techniques
  • Develop self-compassion and humor, to transform stress into positive energy
  • Dare to be charismatic and authentic, to make a lasting impression
  • Adapt your communication to your audience's reactions and emotions

Whatever your profile, the Catherine Gillet method guides you towards confident and inspiring public speaking.

The Joy of Public Speaking, Finally Accessible!

Hundreds of people have already transformed their relationship with public speaking thanks to this training. Where the exercise was a source of stress or anxiety, they discovered the pleasure, humor, and joy of exchanging and convincing.

The Fundamentals of Appreciative Inquiry

For whom: all individuals supporting change in companies, coaches, mediators, or conflict management specialists, and all those who choose to lead their lives in a positive and empowering way.

Course objective: Appreciative Inquiry is a change management method that differs from the classic problem-solving approach. It allows us to focus our attention on positive energies such as our talents, strengths, successes, and dreams or aspirations (what is meaningful to us). The starting point for this positive change is "what works." We thus move away from the "problem-solving" paradigm (identifying problems, analyzing causes, choosing solutions, action plans) to embrace that of vision and the co-creation of an ideal future (deciding on a positive project, appreciating what is, imagining what could be, determining what should be, and creating what will be). Following the model of the 5 Ds: Definition, Discovery (Discovery), Dream ( Becoming), Design (Decision), Destiny (Deployment). This course of 4 days will allow you to understand the main mechanisms of this method and, above all, to practice it.

Objectives:

See change as an ideal future, provide solutions for success rather than merely eliminating problems
Understand the philosophy of the appreciative method and its theoretical foundations (7 principles and 5D model, links with positive psychology). Practice on a concrete global project
Build a realistic and meaningful personal project
Master and practice conducting appreciative interviews
Practice creativity techniques, notably "Lego Serious Play"

Description:

Day 1: main theoretical contributions, models, and definitions. Definition of a common introductory project and initial practice of appreciative interviews

Day 2 : introduction to the "Lego Serious Play". Discovery phase, design and deployment for the common project.

Day 3: building one's individual project. Defining it, specifying it, proceeding to the discovery phase, then to the becoming phase

Day 4: going through the last two stages, design and deployment. Presentation of individual projects

Build a Coherent Professional Project and Acquire Job Search Tools

For whom: all individuals seeking new employment or considering career change

Course Intention: Work is an important part of our lives. Being able to find fulfillment in it is part of the equation for our balance. In " work life balance," there is the word work. Being fulfilled only outside of work is not sufficient for our overall well-being. During these two days of training we show the way to build a meaningful professional project and provide the specific tools to implement it successfully.

Objectives:

Define a realistic and meaningful professional project
Develop a CV that tells an inspiring and engaging story
Write impactful cover letters
Acquire job search techniques, including internet and social media
Practice presentation and interview techniques

Description: this course is structured successively by connecting personal (meaning), technical (CV, cover letter, and internet), and interpersonal (presentation, interviews) aspects

Day 1: define one's professional project, establish one's new CV and cover letters/emails
Day 2: job search techniques (social media, internet, direct approach), prepare one's pitch and communication techniques

Please note: the same content can be delivered as individual coaching.
