Course Objective

Adopt a new approach to communication by discovering Nonviolent Communication. A concrete process to foster listening, empathy, and quality relationships, in both professional and personal life.

Module 1: Introduction to Nonviolent Communication

Dates: November 8 and 9
Hours: From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Duration: 2 days

Objectives: This module offers a first immersion into NVC, laying the foundation for more conscious communication, respectful of oneself and others.

  • Discover the intention and foundations of the Nonviolent Communication process
  • Identify our language habits that can hinder relationships
  • Understand and experience the steps of the process: observation, feeling, need, request
  • Clarify and express what is happening within us authentically
  • Explore the four ways of receiving a message

Module 2: Opening to Dialogue and Practicing Dialogue

Dates: December 13 and 14
Hours: From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Objectives: This second module is an opportunity to go further in the practice and integration of relational skills, within a safe and supportive environment.

  • Develop the ability to clarify what is happening within oneself (self-empathy)
  • Discover deep listening to others and the specificity of empathy according to the NVC process
  • Experience the art of making requests, a key step to opening dialogue
  • Practice empathy through listening exercises and varied role-playing scenarios
  • Explore the ‘dance of dialogue’ to establish an authentic connection with others

Additional Information

The two 4-day modules are interdependent and complementary
They are held at Espace IDEO, 22 Grand Rue, 1260 Nyon (5-minute walk from Nyon train station)
Price: CHF 600 for the 4 days of training
